About the Role

In this opportunity as a Visual Journalist, part of the Reuters photography team, you will:
Ensure Reuters wins the biggest news stories and support the rich photojournalism of the Wider Image in China. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing assignments including the ability to work under pressure with patience in complex environments. Participate in assignments with multimedia teams. Pitch and develop story ideas on a wide range of subjects, including climate change. Ensure safety newsgathering protocols are followed and well communicated. Ensure local laws are followed with the ability to respectfully navigate diverse cultural environments. About You:
You’re fit for the role of Visual Journalist, if your background includes:
Minimum four years’ experience in visual journalism. Willingness to travel to breaking news stories, often at short notice. Proven storytelling skills, and a desire to work on long-term, in-depth stories. Excellent news judgment and in-depth knowledge of pictures business. Good understanding of the latest digital visual technologies for photographing, filming, editing, and transmitting. The candidate must not hold a Chinese passport due to regulatory reasons. Preferred:
